As people who are close to MisfitsNFT know, we have changed up our management team recently. This was for a few reasons.
As the World is so upsidedown at the moment, health has been a big factor in this.
Our Social Media Manager had some sickness in their family and has had to step aside to put more time to their family and their own health.
Our Community Manager had some IRL commitments that came up and had to step aside to put more commitment to their IRL work.
On to the good news!
We have promoted our OG Discord Mod CryptoGratuity to the role of Community Manager. We couldn’t be happier as CG has been with us since day 1, before we even launched our Twitter or Discord. He knows the Community better than anyone and knows the project as well as we do. Everyone go and give him a massive virtual highfive, this is a big step for CG and we are so happy he reached out to take on the role (plus he is already smashing it! Love the commitment! Thank you CG)
We have also brought in one of our Potential Misfits, Hot Lasagna, to help run our Twitter. You’ll see some changes there over the next few days. A lot more fun content as well as a much more focused direction on the game.
As we are getting closer to the Game Demo being released, we will have more footage to share of actual gameplay. Yes, huge and very exciting news.
Marketing / Social Update
We have heard you and we have listened. From now on, apart from the humor Tweets, we are going to be pushing the Misfits Game hard. We originally focused on the PFP as we were trying to keep the Twitter mysterious and build some hype around it, that failed and we didn’t pivot fast enough, that’s on me, but we have learnt and we have changed.
We have an update coming to the website that will point more focus towards the Game rather than the PFP side of the Project. In the end, we are making a game not a PFP project. Also goes into how your Misfit and Ms.Fit traits will determine your Creatures traits.
Saying that though, your Misfit PFP is not just a PFP. He is going to be your character in the game. He will walk around town, catch the pets, teleport the creatures, and control them when they fight. The additional MisfitNFTs that you have will be able to be rented out to people who want to play the game to earn Tokens but doesn’t own a Misfit, so it’s worthwhile to own more than 1.
Game Update
We are getting very close to the release of the Game Demo so we decided to increased our Game Development team. We now have 2 Game Developers, 2 Head Animators, and 3 Assistant Animators, plus myself working full time on the game. Hansel is splitting his time between Tech Development and Game Development.
As I mentioned above, we are going to focus much more on game content and game footage from now on. Stay tuned for
