Misfits Lore and Background

Intro
Misfits NFT is a generative art project with 10,000 unique characters made up from over 500 different traits.
Misfits are a group of Aliens that have arrived on Earth in their Spaceship disguised as a School Bus, to try to place themselves into Human everyday life but they just can’t seem to get it right. They have been tasked to study the humans behaviors but as they have one shared consciousness wires sometimes get crossed when multiple Misfits are researching at the same time, so you might see a PoliceMan wearing a singlet and whistle with a fish bowl on their head.
Lore
The Misfits are timid Aliens that come from a galaxy far into the solar system. They are trying to blend into the human race to learn, observe, and report back to The Commander. Nobody knows why they are here or what they are doing. Are they here to take over? What are they doing here?
The Misfits act like a colony of bees, they seem to all move in the same way. As the sun goes down they all descend back to the School Bus, one after another piling into that bus. They all have a smug look on their face entering the School Bus, thinking they have fooled the humans 1 more day, but little do they know 10,000 Misfits all piling into one School Bus draws more attention than they realize.
When inside the School Bus the Misfits download their daily learnings to The Commander. The Commander is the ruler of the Misfits sent to Earth, he is there to oversee the mission and keep the mischievous Misfits in order. The Commander never leaves the School Bus, he remains hidden to the World except a few glimpses people has seen as the School Bus doors open. The only reports we’ve heard are he’s green and doesn’t wear any clothes.
Occasionally you’ll see a Misfit out after dark, they seem to be a bit different, a bit more human. If the Misfits don’t make it back in time their brains are overloaded with information, they retain some human emotions and become humanized. They don’t have the capability to understand these feelings, they crave love, have fear and anger. This tends to lead to hilarious situations as they experience human emotions for the first time. But the emotion that the Misfits crave the most is adrenaline, the rush of individuality cannot be beat, they need to find new ways to create adrenaline.
They try all sorts of things, skydiving, bungee jumping, rock climbing, motocross, but the one thing that really gets their blood pumping is battling! Back on the School Bus in the evenings to pass time they battle insects against each other, but with this new surge of emotion insects aren’t enough, they need something bigger.
After weeks of toiling, the Mind Control Helmet was created. The Misfits went out into Suburbia in hunt of Earth’s fiercest creatures…. Cats. The Misfits soon found out that capturing cats was much harder than they anticipated, they might need to start with something less aggressive. What creatures will they capture first? What will be strong enough to take on the Cats?
